The City of North Augusta is accepting applications for the position of Groundsworker II - Property Maintenance. Operates light equipment and performs grounds keeping duties in the maintenance of City grounds. Position requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED supplemented by six to nine months of experience in landscape maintenance or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Bi-weekly salary is $1,041.89 with medical insurance and excellent benefits provided. The City of North Augusta is accepting applications for Director of Planning and Community Development. Under limited supervision, plans, controls, directs, manages and supervises the planning and development activities and programs for the City of North Augusta and is responsible for the preparation and implementation of planning and zoning. Supervises the interdepartmental review of development plans. Supervises the preparation, interpretation and revision of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, land development regulations, re-development plans and special project plans. Refers to the City code, zoning and development standards, state and federal laws and regulations, professional reports and analysis, professional publications, etc. Supervises the preparation of agendas, reports and minutes for the planning commission, board of zoning appeals, and other boards and committees as necessary. Supervises the receipt, review and processing of detailed land development and redevelopment plans, requests for variances or waivers from regulations, citizen complaints, etc. Master's degree in urban and regional planning, public administration or related field and three to five years of experience in planning, two of which must have been at the supervisory level, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
