The City of North Augusta is accepting sealed bids for MOLD, MILDEW and ASBESTOS REMEDIATION of the lower level of the Public Safety Headquarters building located at 444 East Buena Vista Avenue until 9:00 am on Tuesday June 20, 2017, at which time they shall be opened and read aloud.

 All contractors must be licensed to do business in the City of North Augusta. The contractor shall provide liability insurance and workmen compensation. Contractor must be certified in mold remediation. Also, the contractor must be certified in South Carolina for asbestos removal. Contractor shall secure and pay for all building permits and for all other permits and governmental fees, licenses and inspections. No reimbursement will be made by the City of North Augusta for any costs incurred in the preparation of the proposal. Air quality test and DHEC regulated test have been performed. Those results are available on request.

  •  Remove all surface flooring inside of building
  • Remove any interior wall coverings
  • Evaluate the HVAC system. Inspect the system, clean and/or remove any duct work
    affected by mold
  • Abate any and all mold and asbestos found
  • Air monitoring must be performed during asbestos removal
  • Guarantee on reassessment after project is completed by outside vendor. The initial
    test shall be borne by the City of North Augusta. If the building does not pass the first
    testing, all additional retesting and related work shall be borne by the remediation

The City of North Augusta reserves the right to waive any bid formalities and reject any or all bidders. This bid will not be awarded solely on the basis of the lowest prices alone, although this is one of the most important considerations. Quality of work, professionalism, response time, etc., will be taken into account before awarding this contract.

This contract will be for a one-year period.
