Illicit Discharge Ordinance
The purpose of this ordinance is to provide for the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of North Augusta through the regulation of non stormwater discharges to the storm drainage system to the maximum extent practicable as required by federal and state law. This ordinance establishes methods for controlling the introduction of pollutants into the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4).

The purpose of this ordinance is to safeguard persons, protect property, prevent damage to the environment and promote the public welfare by guiding, regulating, and controlling the design, construction, use, and maintenance of any development or other activity which disturbs or breaks the topsoil or results in the movement of earth on land in North Augusta.
